PARTYING in Felixstowe frothed out onto the seafront when some cheeky youngsters added an unknown ingredient to a fountain leaving it foaming over.

The perpetrators struck outside Charlie Manning's some time last night, as teenagers partied the night away at Lowbiza, a safe dance event being held at The Wave nightclub.

The centrepiece fountain outside the venue became a white mass of bubbles as the water churned up the washing liquid or powder that had been poured into it.

Bubbles were blown down the road as far as the nightclub.

Charles Manning, owner of the seafront complex, spotted the frothing fountain as he drove home last night and is today preparing to clean it out.

It is not the first time it has happened and he knows it will probably not be the last.

Mr Manning said: "I noticed as I came home last night that we'd had a visit from the foam fairies.

"It's been a common event this summer but there's no damage been done. We're just going to empty it out and clean it."
