A 16-year-old girl was approached by a man in a car near Deben High School in Felixstowe on Friday night, police have said.
The teenager was walking along Garrison Lane near the school when a dark coloured estate or saloon type vehicle pulled up alongside her.
A man in the front passenger seat asked her to get in to the car before getting out of the vehicle. The girl then ran off.
The incident took place at around 9.30pm.
The male driver of the vehicle, described as black, was not seen clearly and did not speak. The passenger is described as a white man in his 40s with a moustache.
