MEMBERS of a library-based group from Felixstowe showed off their theatrical talents at a special event showcasing many of the county's services.

The team from the Top Time group, which meets upstairs at the library in Crescent Road regularly for a variety of activities, were taking part in the event at Endeavour House in Ipswich.

The county council headquarters was hosting an exhibition called to highlight Adult and Community Service (ACS) with around 50 exhibitors, including front line services, partner agencies and people who use the services.

They included culture, information, inclusion and learning to independence schemes, well-being, access and partnership, plus recruitment bodies like JobCentre Plus.

It was a chance for those attending the day to meet employees, providers and partners to share the good work they do and learn about new and innovative services.

Portfolio holder for ACS, Graham Newman said: “The event brought together all those who have a mutual interest in improving the lives of all adults in Suffolk, particularly those who receive services for people with physical and learning difficulties, and vulnerable older people.

“The aim was to make these services real and relevant, inspiring service to providers to adapt and aspire to ever higher standards, and foster improved working between agencies across the county.”
