A 28-year-old man accused of being involved in an armed robbery in Claydon has been remanded in custody.
The incident happened at around 3pm on Monday, October 23 at a home in Morgan Court, Claydon, where two men were reported to have entered a property carrying knives, before punching the occupant – a man in his 20s – to the floor, demanding money and other valuables. The victim sustained a fractured cheek and required stitches to his forearm, while a woman in her 30s was threatened.
Officers arrested Barry Lawrence, of no fixed address, in Felixstowe on December 15, where he was charged with robbery.
On Saturday he appeared before magistrates in Ipswich, who remanded him in custody ahead of an appearance at Ipswich Crown Court on Monday, January 15.
A 19-year-old arrested in Felixstowe on Friday morning has been released under investigation.
