A man will appear in court today charged with the rape of an elderly woman in Felixstowe.
Police were called shortly after 2am on Sunday by the woman who reported that someone had broken into her home in the Walton area of the town and sexually assaulted her.
Adrian Udrea, 38, of Blyford Way, Felixstowe, was arrested by Suffolk Police on Tuesday evening.
This evening he was charged with rape, burglary and assault.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court today.
A boy, 17, from Ipswich was arrested in connection with the incident on Sunday. He has been bailed to return to the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre on November 24.
