THIEVES got away with thousands of pounds worth of tinned fish after breaking into a warehouse.

Eight pallets of tinned salmon were stolen in the raid at a warehouse shed at Dyke Road at the Port of Felixstowe.

The tins were all Tesco-branded, skinless and boneless red salmon, worth thousands of pounds.

Officers are making inquiries into the incident and would like to hear from anyone who may have any information about those responsible or anyone who may have been offered similar tins of fish.

The theft – details of which have only been released today – is understood to have happened between March 23 and May 15.
