FELIXSTOWE woke to a covering of snow this morning – a first taste of winter by the seaside.
There was steady snowfall around breakfast-time, leaving a covering on gardens, parks and paths with the temperature at 1C.
Youngsters on the way to school scraped snow from parked cars to use as snowballs.
It soon turned to sleet and rain, with further showers expected during the day.
There were no real problems for drivers with all main roads free of snow and sidestreets’ snow soon turning to slush.
