A PENSIONER had cash, bank cards and personal items stolen by a bike-riding thief.
The 79-year-old woman had her bag snatched from her shoulder while walking up a hill in Garrison Lane around 3.20pm on Friday.
The thief - a slim white woman, with long, dark hair in a ponytail and of scruffy appearance - emerged from a pathway leading to Lincoln Terrace. She then cycled off with the black handbag up Pram Walk heading towards Coronation Drive.
Anyone who saw the incident or who has any information about the woman involved is asked to call PC Jackaman on 01473 613500.
