The project has in the past worked with 11 to 19-year-olds, but has now extended its to work 10 to 25-year-olds.

This is enabling the youth workers to engage with those in school year six who are in the transition to high school period by offering taster sessions, as well as helping those in their 20s who are embarking on life after education or needing further advice on opportunities open to them.

Level Two has just moved back to its old base above Tesco in Hamilton Road – now known as The Youth Hub – which will be the venue for its activities:

? Mondays, 6.30pm to 8pm, Addicted 2 Dance, for school years 7 to 13;

? Tuesdays, 4pm to 5.30pm, year six transition to high school;

? Wednesdays, 3.15pm to 4.45pm, school year seven open session;

? Thursdays, 2pm to 3.30pm, Moving On for ages 16 to 25, then 6.30pm to 8pm school year eight open session, and 8.15pm to 9.45pm school years nine and 10 open session;

? Fridays, 8pm to 9.30pm, L8 Nite Session for 16 to 19s;

? Saturdays, 2pm to 4pm, open sessions for school years seven to 13.

Mayor of Felixstowe Mike Deacon cut a ribbon to open the new youth hub and there was a cake to celebrate the return to the town centre.

During the open afternoon there was a variety of activities, including pool, table tennis, table football, Wii games, and more.

Staff were also on hand to answer questions and explain what Level Two is all about.

Project manager Shez Southernwood said: “The re-location of Level Two back to town centre premises is really very exciting and a big achievement.

“We hope it will bring with it a surge of life to the town.”
