The 15-year-old pals had their lives cut tragically short after they were struck by a car in Fore Hamlet in Ipswich on Friday May 30.

Scott died almost immediately while Dean lost his battle for life in hospital the following morning.

Dean's funeral will take place at St Mary's Church, Stoke, on Thursday June 26 at 1 pm. It will be followed by a short service at Ipswich Crematorium, West Chapel.

The funeral for Scott will be tomorrow starting with a procession through the town, open to anyone to attend, leaving 8 Valley Road, Ipswich, at 1.30 pm.

Police motorcyclists will be leading the horse drawn carriage along the journey towards Mary at the Elms, Elm Street, Ipswich.

The procession will travel from Valley Road along Norwich Road, right at St Matthews roundabout into Civic Drive and left into Elm Street. It will arrive at 2 pm for the 2.15 pm service.

Floral tributes on behalf of Dean may be sent to Co-operative Chapel of Rest, or if preferred donations for Sue Ryder may be sent to c/o Co-operative Funeral Service, 10 Upper Orwell Street, Ipswich.

SEVERAL events have been organised to raise money for the Evening Star's Dean and Scott Memorial Appeal.

*A sponsored swim will take place at Crown Pools on July 6th, starting at 10am.

*Tickets are also now on sale for a memorial disco raising money for the two 15-year-old boys.

Chris Lewis's Just One More Disco takes place at 7.30pm on Saturday, June 21 at The Haven Pub in Felixstowe Road, Ipswich.

Tickets for the event cost £3 and can be brought from The Haven Pub or from Chris Lewis who can be contacted on 07949 231588.

All the proceeds will go to the Dean Bloomfield and Scott Towler Memorial Appeal.

*A 4ft high teddy bear is being raffled to raise money for the fund.

Tickets are available at £1 per strip and the raffle closes on Saturday, June 21, the night of a fund-raising evening at The Haven in Felixstowe Road, Ipswich.
