BLUES' fans were keeping their fingers crossed today that fog wouldn't thwart their Italian dream tie with Inter tonight. For by break of dawn and throughout the rest of the day uncertainty hung as thick as the fog in certain parts of the Italian city.

Airlines were reporting delays of up to two hours this morning at one of Milan's airports after Town's training session at the famous San Siro stadium last night was curtailed by thick fog.
More than 8,000 travelling fans are hoping that top flight action involving some of the world's greatest stars won't be blotted out by the city's infamous fog.
Many thousands more watching on TV were also hoping that pictures from Milan were going to be clear and not spoilt by the mist gathering in the region.
The huge army of visiting Tractor Boys were enjoying a hazy sunshine over breakfast but some reports suggested the weather might threaten Ipswich's all-important UEFA tie.
Milan, which lies in the north of Italy in a river valley prone to patchy fog, is beset by blankets of fog descending on the city.
While it can be clear as a bell in the city centre, the 86,000-capacity San Siro - a couple of kilometres away and a little higher in altitude – can be plagued by fog.
A spokesman for Stansted Airport, from where the majority of fans are travelling to Italy, said that some flights into Linate were experiencing delays of between one to two hours because of fog.
Weather reports for the city today are conflicting.
The Evening Star's weather man Ken Blower, however, predicted that the weather would be chilly but clear.
