FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze in a village home today, which started in the loft and spread to the roof.Crews from Sudbury, Clare, Long Melford and Bury St Edmunds were called to the scene in Shimpling Road, Hartest, at 11.20am.
FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze in a village home today, which started in the loft and spread to the roof.
Crews from Sudbury, Clare, Long Melford and Bury St Edmunds were called to the scene in Shimpling Road, Hartest, at 11.20am, to find that at least a fifth of the roof of the two-storey building, and the adjoining garage and living quarters had caught alight.
The incident was cleared by 1.35pm.
