Firefighters were called to tackle a blaze close to Ravenswood Primary School today.
It broke out at around 12.30pm in Downham Boulevard, and is believed to involve hedges and bushes.
Smoke billowed from the scene, but thanks to a rapid response by a crew from Ipswich East fire station, the incident was brought quickly under control within 10 minutes.
