FIREFIGHTERS had to release a woman from her car after an accident on a rural country road.
The incident took place on the B1125 Blythburgh Road just north of the village of Westleton, near Saxmundham, at about 11.30pm last night.
Fire crews from Saxmundham and Aldeburgh and a pump rescue tender from Leiston were sent to the scene along with an ambulance.
A fire service spokesman said: “There was one car involved and the car was on its roof. A female casualty was released and handed over to the ambulance service.”
An ambulance service spokesman said the woman was taken to Ipswich Hospital after suffering a hand injury.
