FIREFIGHTERS were called to douse an area of blazing grassland off Gainsborough Lane, Ipswich today. One crew from Colchester Road was called at 3.10pm used two hose reels to put the fire out within ten minutes.
FIREFIGHTERS were called to douse an area of blazing grassland off Gainsborough Lane, Ipswich today.
One crew from Colchester Road was called at 3.10pm used two hose reels to put the fire out within ten minutes. The area of grass measured 40 metres square.
Minutes later, a car fire in Purdis Farm Lane, Ipswich was dealt with using one hose reel.
One crew from Colchester Road fought the blaze, at 3.20pm today, also within ten minutes.
