FIREFIGHTERS in Ipswich and Woodbridge have been kept busy after they attended a grass fire and two chimney fires. A crew from Princes Street were called at 7.30pm.
FIREFIGHTERS in Ipswich and Woodbridge have been kept busy after they attended a grass fire and two chimney fires.
A crew from Princes Street were called at 7.30pm last night to tackle a fire in a small area of grassland at Alnesbourn Crescent, Ipswich. One hose reel was used to extinguish the fire and the job was finished by 7.50pm.
One appliance from Woodbridge was called to a chimney fire at Creek Bungalows at Sandy Lane, Woodbridge, at 7.50pm. Rods and short extension ladders were used to douse the flames, which were out by 8.25pm. They were then immediately called to another chimney fire in Peterhouse Crescent, where they again used rods to put out the fire by 8.50pm.
