A crew from Colchester Road HQ were called at 8.30pm last night to an area of land near the water tower after fire broke out and quickly spread through undergrowth.
Firefighters were on scene for an hour dealing with the flames.
Earlier a 10 square metre area of undergrowth was reported alight at Foxhall Stadium.
Two crews from Princes Street took less than 15 minutes to fight the fire having being alerted shortly before 7.25pm.
At around 4.15pm that afternoon another Princes Street crew dealt with a shed fire in Surrey Road, Ipswich. The blaze was under control within 10 minutes.
