Fire damages Suffolk garages

FIREFIGHTERS were called to put out a blaze in garages at Charter Close in Hadleigh today. Four garages were affected by the blaze which took firefighters an hour to put out.

FIREFIGHTERS were called to put out a blaze in garages at Charter Close in Hadleigh today. Four garages were affected by the blaze which took firefighters an hour to put out.

A blaze in the stairwell of a house in Swinburne Road, Ipswich was put out by firefighters early today. No one was hurt in the blaze, which took only a few minutes to extinguish.

Three cars were destroyed by fire in the Ipswich area. Two cars were alight in Trent Road, Ipswich just before 5pm yesterday. A further vehicle was destroyed by a blaze in the Old Norwich Road Claydon early today.

Firefighters also had to put out a wheely bin fire behind the Co-op in Queensway early today. They prevented the blaze from spreading to nearby buildings.
