FIRE CREWS from four stations were called to extinguish a house fire in Sudbury.
FIRE CREWS from four stations were called to extinguish a house fire in Sudbury.
The blaze started in the living room of a house in Salisbury Terrace, off Gainsborough Road, Sudbury.
Fire-fighters from Sudbury, Melford, Nayland and Bury St Edmunds were called to the two storey end terrace at about 7am.
A crew from Bury were equipped with a turntable ladder and upon arrival found that the fire was well developed and the flames had spread to the roof of the house.
No one was in the house during the fire which burned for nearly two hours.
Traffic was held up on the A131 and diversions put in place while crews attended the scene.

The fire was under control by about 8.50am.
