FIREFIGHTERS have tackled a straw blaze at a farm in Cotton, near Stowmarket.
A hay shed, measuring 20 metres by 18 metres containing 300 tons of straw was found to be alight at Red house Farm on Stonham Road at about 7pm on Thursday.
The barn completely collapsed and firefighters allowed the straw to burn out.
Crews from Stowmarket, Elmswell, Eye and Framlingham fought the fire using three hose reels to protect the surrounding area including a chicken shed and the farmhouse.
