POLICE and fire officers today evacuated about 120 people from their homes after fire broke out in a car workshop in Great Yarmouth.There were fears that gas canisters stored at the workshop could explode and nearby residents were evacuated to the town's Marina sports centre.
POLICE and fire officers today evacuated about 120 people from their homes after fire broke out in a car workshop in Great Yarmouth.
There were fears that gas canisters stored at the workshop could explode and nearby residents were evacuated to the town's Marina sports centre.
They were allowed back in their homes by breakfast time as the scene was declared safe.
