FOUR men were today due to be questioned after being found with a firearm in the street.
Police were called to Wherstead Road, south west Ipswich, at around 9.30pm yesterday after reports of a dispute.
A police spokesman today said: “Four men are today in custody on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear or violence.
“Police attended and detained the males after a report of some kind of dispute.”
The arrested men were held at Ipswich Police Station overnight.
They were not interviewed last night because it was late when they were taken in. They are due to be interviewed today.
A witness said the men were handcuffed and detained in nearby Rectory Road, and the arrested men were seen shouting at each other and at police officers.
