Firefighters help free trapped motorist after crash in Ipswich’s Stoke Street

A man was taken to hospital after he was involved in a two-vehicle crash near Ipswich town centre today.
Emergency services were called to the collision in Stoke Street involving a Nissan Qashqai and Skoda Octavia just after 4pm.
A man was trapped in his vehicle as a result of the crash and required help from firefighters to get free.
The motorist was taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing, a spokeswoman for Suffolk Constabulary said.
No-one else is thought to have been seriously hurt.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) sent three fire engines - one from Ipswich East and two from Ipswich Princes Street - to the scene.
A spokeswoman for the brigade said: “There was one person who was trapped in their vehicle and SFRS assisted in removing them from the vehicle and making the scene safe.”
