Fire crews tackled a shed blaze at a home in Ipswich this morning.

A team from Princes Street were called to an address in Caithness Close, near the road’s junction with Renfrew Road, at 8.21am today.

When they arrived they discovered the fire had spread to a second shed, and to a fence.

The crew used one hose reel jet to tackle the flames.

Thermal imaging cameras were used to identify further hotspots.

Firefighters tackled the fire for more than an hour – it was extinguished and the area was made safe by 9.31am.

No-one is believed to have been hurt and the cause of the fire is not known at this time.

An investigation is underway to establish what may have sparked the blaze.

A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said: “One crew was sent to reports of a shed fire.

“Upon arrival they found the fire had spread to a second shed and a fence.

“The crew used one hose reel and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire.”
