FIREFIGHTERS today battled for an hour to release a man trapped in his vehicle following a single vehicle road accident on the B1071 at Boxford.The 52-year-old man, from the Hadleigh area, was taken to Colchester General Hospital by ambulance with chest injuries and minor cuts and bruises.

The 52-year-old man, from the Hadleigh area, was taken to Colchester General Hospital with chest injuries.
The accident happened at about 5.30am. It is believed the man, who was driving a Vauxhall car, hit and tree and careered into a ditch.
