FIREFIGHTERS have been busy tackling grass fires following two blazes in Ipswich today.The first happened at shortly after midday at Landseer Park off Landseer Road when 50 square metres of grass caught light.
FIREFIGHTERS have been busy tackling grass fires following two blazes in Ipswich today.
The first happened at shortly after midday at Landseer Park off Landseer Road when 50 square metres of grass caught light.
A single hose reel and beaters were used to battle the fire which was extinguished by 12.32pm.
The second fire took hold at Orwell Country Park off Sandy Hill Lane at 1.26pm.
Around 50 square metres of grass was on fire and one hose reel jet was used to extinguish the flames by 2.03pm.
