Firefighters were called to a car fire in Doctor Watson's Lane, Kesgrave, at 9pm tonight.
A crew from headquarters and another from Princes Street in Ipswich attended and found a vehicle well alight.
A spokesman for Suffolk Fire Service said they used two breathing apparatus and a hose reel to extinguish the blaze by 9.15pm.
