FIREFIGHTERS in Suffolk have been called to blazes around the county.
At about 4.50am today they attended a car fire at Orwell Country Park, Nacton Road, Ipswich, which was under control by about 5.15am.
Yesterday at about 5.05pm two crews from Felixstowe went to a kitchen fire on Cavendish Road in the town which was brought under control by about 5.30pm.
Then at about 6.30pm firefighters from Stowmarket went to Needham Road in Stowmarket where trees, including conifers and cedars, were well alight.
They used a hose reel and a dry powder extinguisher to bring it under control by about 6.55pm.
And then at about 6.35pm yesterday a crew from Colchester Road in Ipswich went to the Spring Road allotments in Ipswich where bails of straw were burning. That fire was under control by about 6.45pm.
