Firefighters last night tackled a “suspicious'' gorse fire on the outskirts of Ipswich.
The blaze broke out on a two metre square piece of heathland on Rushmere Golf Course, Rushmere St Andrew, Woodbridge Road East.
One firecrew from Colchester Road fire station was called to the scene at just after 9.30pm.
A fireservice spokesman said the blaze was being treated as “suspicious''.
