MORE than 20 firefighters tackled a massive blaze in Huntingdon today.
The fire started at about 3.05am today at carpet and bed suppliers, Countrywide Interiors, Tower Square, Huntingdon.
The single storey mid terraced unit, containing carpets, beds and furniture, was well alight.
It took more than four hours for fire crews from around Cambridgeshire to get the fire under control.
A spokesman for Suffolk Fire Service said: “It spread to the roof of a second unit but firefighters managed to stop it spreading any further.
“It only affected a small area. It was scaled down by 5.30am.”
A full investigation is taking place today as the cause of the fire is unknown.
