POSTAL customers in Suffolk are getting a First Class service, Royal Mail has said today.
Independent research shows that during the past year every postcode in the East of England beat the targets set for delivery reliability.
Regulator Postcomm specifies that at least 91.5 per cent of first class mail must be delivered to its destination on the next working day, and in the 'IP' postcode the figure reached 95.7 pc - the highest figure in the region.
Royal Mail's territory director James Farren said: “Our people continue to produce excellent results in a demanding postal market and they should feel proud of their achievements.
“The challenge for us now is make sure we maintain quality of service for our customers.”
