THIS is the face of alleged Marlesford murder victim Sharon Green.

The 53-year-old died after sustaining multiple stab wounds to her chest at her home at the former Old Bell public house, which is now a cottage in Main Road, on the A12.

The former landlady's body was believed to be discovered in the upstairs of the property by a family member on Friday, November 20.

Mrs Green's husband, Paul, 59, has been charged with his wife's murder and will next appear at Ipswich Crown Court on February 5.

The couple moved to Suffolk around ten years ago from Edmonton in north London.

Although Mrs Green's family has yet to pay a tribute to her, however others have spoken of her sense of humour and her friendliness.

Rose Rose, who lives on the outskirts of Marlesford, used to work with Mrs Green at the pub before it closed down around five years ago.

She now works at the Salvation Army shop in Woodbridge and said: “She would greet me with a little kiss and a hug and we always parted the same as well. She was a very happy go lucky lady, with a beautiful smile and someone who always had a sparkle about her.

“She always made me laugh. She was lovely. Beautiful looking and had a very bubbly personality. She was very friendly and loved her family - they were everything. She was beautiful, both inside and out.”

Mrs Green is believed to have three grown-up children, two sons and a daughter in their 20s and early 30s, and two young grandchildren.
