First World War medals stolen from Cliff Lane property in Ipswich

A golden pocket watch was also stolen during the burglary in Cliff Lane between 6pm on September 19 and 9am on the following day.

One of the war medals is described as an engraved silver circular medal. Another is a brass medal in the shape of a cross and the third medal is a silver circular medal with no engraving.

The property was broken into and a digital safe containing cash and personal documents were also taken.

Police issued details of the burglary today. Photographs of the three war medals are not being released to help with the appeal.

Officers are asking anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area, anyone who may have information, or anyone who may have been offered similar items for sale since, to call Suffolk Police on 101, quoting crime number IE/15/3241.
