SERIAL drink-driver Carl McRunell is starting a 25-week jail sentence today after being caught drunk behind the wheel for the fifth time.McRunell, of St Andrew's Place, Melton, appeared before South East Suffolk Magistrates' Court after going on the run last year shortly after being caught for driving while almost three times the legal limit.

McRunell, of St Andrew's Place, Melton, appeared before South East Suffolk Magistrates' Court after going on the run last year shortly after being caught for driving while almost three times the legal limit.

At his court appearance, the 38-year-old admitted driving his yellow Ford Fiesta while over the legal alcohol limit.

McRunell also pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and to having no insurance at the time.

He also admitted failing to attend his previous hearing.
