HEAVY rain in parts of the eastern region have led to flood warnings being issued tonight.
HEAVY rain in parts of the eastern region have led to flood warnings being issued tonight.
The warnings came after motorists were left stranded and rivers burst their banks across parts of Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex today.
Police in Cambridgeshire issued flood alerts in relation to the River Nene in Peterborough and the River Great Ouse in St Neots while the Environment Agency issued warnings for parts of the River Great Ouse and the River Yare in Norfolk.
Residents were bracing themselves for strong winds and more rain tonight.
