POLICE reported a series of minor road crashes following flooding in parts of Suffolk as heavy rain lashed the county.The worst affected areas were said to be in the west of the county, with sections of the A14 and the A134 at Ingham worst hit, although there were also reports of floods in Melton, near Woodbridge.

A spokesman for the police said they were called to at least six incidents around the county last night, with some resulting in delays to other traffic. None resulted in serious injuries.
