Floral tributes lined an Ipswich funeral home on the morning of a service in memory of Ipswich teenager Tavis Spencer-Aitkens.
Rows of heartfelt messages for the 17-year-old were displayed at Michael Smy Funeral Directors ahead of the service at St Augustine’s Church on Wednesday.
One tribute to Tavis, known by the nickname ‘Biggz’, who died from a stab wound after being attacked by a group of males in Packard Avenue on June 2, read: “Goodbyes hurt the most when the story was not finished.”
Another read: “The day you died changed my life, Biggz.
“I swear all these sunny days have been grey.”
Other floral tributes came from friends and members of Tavis’ family, including his mother, Sharon Box, whose words read: “I will miss you every day. I will love and think of you every day for the rest of my life.
“You were a joy to have for 17 years and I will see you again. Until then, rest easy baby boy.”
