Floyd tribute shines on

BEING a Pink Floyd fan is an expensive hobby - a wealth of reissued albums, expensive stadium tours and more T-shirts on sale than a menswear department.

BEING a Pink Floyd fan is an expensive hobby – a wealth of reissued albums, expensive stadium tours and more T-shirts on sale than a menswear department.

It's great then, that tribute band Think Floyd can put on a decent show for a fraction of the price of watching Messrs Waters, Gilmour, Mason and Wright for real.

With renewed interest in Pink Floyd, thanks to last years greatest hits package Echoes, it was an audience of mixed age that turned up to watch one of Britain's best tribute bands.

Think Floyd's show at the Corn Exchange brought the 1979 album, The Wall, to life with excellent use of lighting, sound effects and stage props.

Opening with In The Flesh, the band took a decent crowd on a tour of many fans' favourite Floyd album, with Goodbye Cruel World and Comfortably Numb standing out as excellent covers.

The award winning Co-Op Juniors joined the band on a couple of tracks including Goodbye Blue Sky and the song everyone came to see, Another Brick In The Wall. Around 25 Juniors sang the kids parts and acted out the scenes from the video.
