Emergency services have attended a multi-vehicle collision on the A12 near Stratford St Mary this evening.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the scene close to junction 30, the Dedham slip road, after receiving reports of the collision at around 5.30pm today, Wednesday, June 14.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said the crash involved three cars and a flat-bed lorry and was in lane two of the northbound carriageway.
“One female is stuck in her vehicle because they didn’t want to move her until the ambulance had arrived,” she said.
She added that firefighters and ambulance crews got to the scene at around 6.20pm.
The northbound carriageway of the A12 was closed while emergency services worked at the scene although were are traffic delays reported in the area on both sides of the carriageway between Colchester and Ipswich.
The road had now reopened and traffic has eased in the area.
