SMOKERS will be offered free nicotine patches in an effort to help them stub out the habit.

Tomorrow the Suffolk Stop Smoking Service and pharmacies will be dishing out the patches to mark national No Smoking Day.

Hilary Andrews, co-ordinator of the Suffolk Stop Smoking Service said she hoped it would give people an extra encouragement to give up smoking.

The patches will be given out at pharmacies across Suffolk including, Asda Pharmacy in Goddard Road, Ipswich, and Boots in the Buttermarket Shopping Centre, Ipswich, Tavern Street, Ipswich and Hamilton Road, Felixstowe.
