POLICE have today launched a fresh appeal for information about a £20,000 Christmas club theft.Andrew Ross, 38, is believed to have information which will help them find the thief that stole £20,000 and stock from the Inkerman pub in Norwich Road.

Andrew Ross, 38, is believed to have information which will help them find the thief that stole £20,000 and stock from the Inkerman pub in Norwich Road.

Mr Ross has not been seen since the Christmas club money was found missing on December 13, 2002.

Police believe that Mr Ross has family in Sunderland and he is an avid supporter of their football club attending both home and away matches.

Other information suggests that Mr Ross visits the Seaham area near Sunderland, Swanley in Kent and Great Yarmouth.

A 29-year-old Ipswich woman who was arrested shortly after the theft is no longer under investigation.
