TICKETS are today on sale for the latest production by one of Ipswich's best known amateur theatre groups.

As reported in The Evening Star, the Ipswich Operatic and Dramatic Society (IODS) are to perform the musical The Full Monty at Felixstowe's Spa Pavilion next month.

Kelly Sye, spokeswoman for the society said: “Following recent phenomenal success with Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar, Summer Holiday and Titanic, Ipswich Operatic and Dramatic Society now proudly present their version of the often hilarious, occasionally risqué but always incredibly heart warming tale of The Full Monty - the musical.”

Based on the smash hit film, the musical will be performed at the Spa Pavilion from Wednesday October 10 to Saturday October 13 at 7.30pm with a 3pm Saturday matinee.

Miss Sye added: “Set in Buffalo, New York, we follow the ups and downs of a group of ex-steelworkers as they rediscover their self-esteem and the importance of real friendship.”

Simon Bowen directs, Mike Wren is musical director, and choreographer Alan Flay complete the production team.

Tickets cost £12.50 or £11 with a special offer of 10 tickets for the price of 11t.
