Fun at new school
FUN was the order of the day when Ipswich's newest school opened its gates and invited in the community.It was the first event of its kind to be held at Ravenswood Community Primary School, which welcomed its first pupils in September.

Within minutes of the fun day opening the school playground was busy with activity.
Children jumped on a bouncy castle, had their faces painted and tested their skill in football and throwing challenges.
There were stalls galore selling everything from bric-a-brac to dolls to cakes.
Ravenswood's beat bobbies were introducing themselves to people in the community while the fire brigade was also on hand to provide fire safety information.

Other organisations, including Sure Start, joined in the events of the day to introduce themselves to people living in Ipswich's newest estate.
Inside the school's hall there was a Chinese dance performance and model aeroplanes on display.
Rollo the Rhinoceros and Welly The Elephant were also on hand to keep children at the event entertained.
Christine Clements, a member of staff at the school, said: "It's a real community fun day.
"We're hosting it but letters were sent out to all the local businesses, shops and educational outlets inviting them to join us."
Headteacher Marilyn Such added: "We decided it would be a really good opportunity to open up the school to the community and get everyone involved in a fun day.
"It's such a lovely school with lovely grounds that we feel it should be open more at weekends and after school."
