The Parents and Friends Association of Cedarwood Primary School have begun a Crowdfunding project to raise money for new school play equipment.
Parents and youngsters have been suggesting ideas for new equipment, which includes slides, climbing frame, fireman pole, scramble ropes and an adventure trail.
The Parents and Friends Association has already met with the school’s council to discuss ideas and proposed design, with fundraising for the £5,000 target having begun.
A statement from the Parent and Friends on the online fundraising page said: “We want to improve the play area that the children currently have, making it more fun and so the children have an even more enjoyable playtime.”
The statement added: “We feel it is important for the children to be active and enjoy their time at school, and we want to give the school something that will last for many years to come and will be suitable for all ages.”
