POLICE have today made two further arrests in connection with a raid on a Suffolk scrapyard.Following the warrant executed at the Ponderosa scrapyard in Red Lodge, near Newmarket, on Monday, a 76-year-old man and a 65-year-old man, both from Red Lodge were arrested on suspicion of money laundering.

Following the warrant executed at the Ponderosa scrapyard in Red Lodge, near Newmarket, on Monday, a 76-year-old man and a 65-year-old man, both from Red Lodge were arrested on suspicion of money laundering.

The pair were arrested in London and are currently in custody awaiting transfer to Suffolk for questioning by detectives later.

Robert McGivern, 38, from Bridge End Road in Red Lodge was charged yesterday evening with concealing criminal property and was due to appear before Sudbury Magistrates today.

Three further men, a 21-year-old from Bury St Edmunds, a 33-year-old from Bury St Edmunds and a 30-year-old of no fixed abode, have been released on police bail to return to Bury St Edmunds Police Station on November 20.
