A warm orange glow fills the morning sky as Jason Alexander, the self-styled Wildlife Gadget Man, captures some exquisite sunrises on film.
These images are the first of a new collection the nature enthusiast, of Rushmere St Andrew, is putting together after setting himself the unique challenge of taking photographs of 100 sunrises this year.
The 43-year-old said: “Each year I try to come up with a few challenges for myself and over Christmas I went for some early-morning walks in Ipswich, Woodbridge and Felixstowe and got some fantastic shots.
“I did it randomly last year but this year there is more of a structure to it and I came up with the 100 sunrises challenge. Whether I do it remains to be seen. It is ok now getting up at 7.50am, but in the summer it will be around 4am or 4.15am, which will be more of a challenge.
“But I am really enjoying it at the moment.”
He picked The Strand near the Orwell Bridge and the River Deben as some of his favourite vantage points.
