IPSWICH: Excited tots wore an array of colourful costumes as they toddled their way around a town sports centre.

Dozens of youngsters frolicked around Gainsborough Sport Centre as part of the Barnardo’s Big Toddle.

As part of the safari animal theme, the children – all under five – donned face paint and fur.

The Big Toddle raises money to help support Barnardo’s Early years work – projects supporting children with physical and learning disabilities.

Cynthia Catchpole, from the Barnardo’s Big Toddle Team, said: “We would like to thank the Barnardo’s Helpers Group for organising the Ipswich Toddle as well as the Gainsborough Sports Centre for their support.

“We have been doing the toddle at the centre for the last ten years and the event is always great fun. This morning was no exception and everyone had a lovely time.”

Meanwhile, other pre-schools, playgroups and nurseries were also organising their own Toddle events. To get involved in future events, visit www.bigtoddle.co.uk. Alternatively, you can call 0845 270 9900.
