THOUSANDS of people headed for Christchurch Park for the biggest multi-cultural festival in Suffolk.
The seventh Indian Summer Mela organised by the Ipswich and Suffolk Indian Association brought out the crowds on a perfect day in the park.
It featured music and dance as well as displays of other aspects of Indian culture - and attracted people from all backgrounds looking for a great day out.
Among the most popular section was the food marquee, where Indian and Chinese restaurants from across the town were giving people the chance to sample their meals.
Indian culture has attracted a great deal more interest among people of all backgrounds recently - and one of the stalls at the Mela showed people how to dance like a Bollywood star.
