Welcome to the latest instalment of our chronological look through the Evening Star picture archives.
Today we are remembering the year 1983 and hope that these pictures spark some happy memories.
All of them were taken in July and it seems there was plenty of summer sunshine around that year, with many fun events across the area.
We have photographs of Princess Anne’s visit to Felixstowe College, a teacher’s retirement from Hadleigh Primary School and a chess championships award presentation.
There’s also a soccer school at Westerfield House, the annual Churches Sponsored Cycle Ride and youngsters tucking in at Old
Felixstowe Community Fete.
Did you take part in any of these events and do you recognise yourself or a loved one in any of the photos we have featured this week?
As ever, if you have any memories you wish to share with Evening Star readers, drop us a line at the addresses below and we’ll feature your contributions at a later date.
