This year for Children in Need one Ipswich primary school is encouraging pupils to think about their heroes.

Yesterday Cliff Lane Primary School asked pupils to dress up as their heroes, both real and fictional.

Children paid a pound to come in as superheroes such as Captain America and Spiderman, but many children also came in dressed as their mother, father, policemen or firemen. One even dressed as her favourite author Jacqueline Wilson.

Richard Benstock of Cliff Lane PS said she was “quite a picture”.

On top of the fancy dress some of Cliff Lane’s staff baked cakes to sell, and the school hopes to raise over £400.
